Need some gardeners' advice!

The rabbits around this area are merciless! Short of setting up traps or getting my hunting license and a .22, has anyone got better ideas on how to keep these critters away from my bulbs and vegetables?

I've read about Liquid Fence and other chemical products, and wondered too if anyone out there has any experience with such things.
