When activities happen on Water Street (ie...Days of Thunder) and all traffic is
to go straight or turn left and the detour is straight around the block....why
block the right lane of traffic on the bridge and place everyone in the middle
lane????? Why not block Water Street as usual - line the whole thing with
cones - cars (traffic control) fire trucks or whatever - Allow the right lane of
the bridge for thru traffic only - straight and the middle lane for left turn
only!!! The way it's done now - traffic backs up to W. Kittanning and takes
more time to get in. With commencement last night, there were students and
parent who almost didn't make it due to traffic.
Can it be changed???
