: : : I Still don't get it. Why is this man sooooo hated by so many? You could easily zip off a list like this about any famous person. Pres. Clinton certainly has lots of questionable things in his past. The liberal hateful mindset of so many people in this country just befuddles me at times. Before anyone even starts - I'm not a republican, and I'm only conservative in my personal views - I'm a libertarian. I just don't understand why president Bush is so hated and so completely disrespected. I guess this is, in my mind, more about us as American people that it is about Bush or Clinton or any other polititions. What happened to respect? We are talking about the leader of the most powerful nation in the world and I wouldn't want his job for anything. I guess I'm a little fed up with the general attitude of our population. We seem to want things handed to us. We are becomming more and more lazy. We whine and complain about everything and look for someone to tear apart with blame for everthing that we don't like about the way our own lives are going. We avoid personal responsibility for anything any time we can, yet we hold others responsible for things that they can't realistically control or had nothing to do with. I just wish everyone would give it a break and stop throwing stones when, lets face it, we all live in glass houses. Which one among us is perfect?
: : : You are part of the general population so these views and gripes must be yours also.Myself, I think the American people are hardworking and they expect something for their work. Apparently they aren't satisfied with this President. Respect must be given to get.Do you think George Bush gives one iota for bmac, I hardly think so. I wouldn't say this list represents most famous people, I think it is a terrible list for him.People have access to instant news now, instant information, they are smart enough and able to question the government. It didn't used to be that way. The government was some big entity out there somewhere that the average Joe was afraid of, now they aren't. They realize when thwe BS is flowing, Are we the most powerful nation on earth, I would hope so but I think China and India are right on our tails and the future looks very bright for them, for us, not quite so sure. I think that is one thing wrong with our country, we are too sure of ourselves, we don't have that spirit to keep going, not settle for what we have but to seek more. We think we are #1 and can just set back and get fat, there are too many out there trying to knock the king off the throne and the king isn't responding.

I think I was honest enough to include myslef. And you make my point for me. We take too much for granted. The rest of the world sees our lack of motivation and takes advantage of it. People from other countries come here all the time to live out the "American dream" and are successful at it. While on the other hand - American citizens don't want to do the less desirable jobs and want to be paid for not working. Everyone wants to rely on this gov. program or that. Then, when they aren't happy - it's the governments fault! Well, start taking responsibility for yourselves. Work hard, save, don't rely on gov. for every need or desire you have and then we will be on top to stay. The way we are going though, we may not be on top much longer. That is not the governments fault - its OUR fault and yes, I include myself once again.
