: : I don't see what the big deal is. Let the people in Manorville have their property back. There is a road through Manorville with wonderful views of the river. Yes, that would put some bike traffic on the road, but that street isn't a major road. I would much rather look at the river than people backyards.

: It is no big deal, they never lost their property, the trail has always been the river road in Manorville. The people have been using that property as their own from day 1. You are right, the river is much more beautiful than a back alley. Also I would think twice about planting a garden on or near the railroad property, there was a lot of dangerous chemicals leaked from some trains, the railroad sprayed for weeds, and the ties were soaked in creosote and probably a few more cancer causing agents soaked into the ground and stayed there.

You know “Me”, you brought up a Bigger issue than the ownership of the land. The larger issue here is the poisoning of the land. If it was my land, and I am not shitting you, I would just give it to whomever and let them be liable for the lawsuits that stem from people walking on those trails and getting cancer. And I walk those trails, have been for years. I have walked those tracks before they were trails. Did you ever smell the smell of those things on a hot summer day? Oh my God, it is horrible.
