It is no big deal, they never lost their property, the trail has always been the river road in Manorville.The people have been using that property as their own from day 1. You are right, the river is much more beautiful than a back alley.Also I would think twice about planting a garden on or near the railroad property, there was a lot of dangerous chemicals leaked from some trains, the railroad sprayed for weeds, and the ties were soaked in creosote and probably a few more cancer causing agents soaked into the ground and stayed there.
