: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : Why is all the Super Bowl Champ shirts, hats etc. gray? Are they going to change there colors?

: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : They do this for marketing purposes. Nobody associated with the Steelers including the Steelers fans have gray hats or shirts, so the NFL selects a color for the masses to buy just so they can have what the actual players were wearing. Back in 1995, when the Steelers played Dallas, the NFL chose a tan and dark brown color scheme.

: : : : : : : : Just a way for the NFL to make sure that the item is unique so that people will go out and buy their new items.
: : : : : : : sorry speaking.

: : : : : :
: : : : : : : They are gray because they were designed long before the Super Bowl was won.
: : : : : : : On NFL. com you could pre-order the shirts depending on who you thought would win. If the Seahawks had one, the fans who ordered Seahawks shirts would have the SAME shirts, except there would be a Seahawks logo were the Steeler logo is and that would be the "Super Bowl Champion" shirt they would be selling everywhere.
: : : : : : : They had the SAME shirts WITH the SEAHAWKS logos printed up and waiting in case Seattle won. Then they would have been wearing the SAME hats and shirts.

: : : : : : : p.s. I'm a Steeler fan, and I own MANY gray t-shirts. I also know I've seen many a Steeler wearing a gray t-shirt in the past.
: : : : : : : A GRAY T-SHIRT...Yeah, that's UNIQUE!

: : : : : : Who do you think licensed those shirts?

: : : : : : The teams or the NFL????

: : : : : : The NFL. Go back through previous Super Bowls and look at the color schemes. You are right about having both teams printed up beforehand, but it all has to do with marketing. They could use white shirts for both teams year after year but they don't, do they oh wise sports-minded person?

: : : : : No shit...the NFL license them. What's that supposed to prove? The NFL licenses everything fron keychains to barbeque grills.
: : : : : Yes....For the Super Bowl Champs, they DO use the same shirts for BOTH teams "year after year". Like I said, they were designed the same for both teams except for the logo. They used a nuetral color (gray) because it is just that...nuetral. They certainly did not use GRAY because it is "unique" as you say.

: : : : : Don't get mad at me because you blabbed about something you didn't know anything about and turned out to be WRONG.

: : : : : I know what you're talking about. I saw I guy at Walmart yesterday wearing, get this, a GRAY t-shirt and BLUE jeans! Boy did he stick out like a sore thumb! What a unique individual.

: : : : It is difficult to debate ignorance, but here we go.

: : : : There have been many Steelers t-shirts, sweatshirts that have been gray, but they did not have the Super Bowl logo. Are you following or are you still stuck on the color gray. I know you probably do not like sports and do not understand marketing, so we will break it down even more. You say there have always been Steelers shirts that were gray. Did they all have the Super Bowl XL logo on them? Can you tell me in the past 10 years how many Super Bowls and Super Bowl apparel licensed by the NFL had the same color and logos? You speak about things you do not know and then look foolish with whatever name you use.

: : : : You cannot, because it did not happen.

: : :
: : : Your are Correct Sir "It is, AS YOU SAY, difficult to debate IGNORANCE
: : : Yes, it is difficult to debate ignorance. Ignorance in and of itself, shows off stupidity, short attention span and inability to speak his mind WITHOUT proving the other guy RIGHT 95% of the time.
: : : So YES it will be nearly impossible for you to debate me using your Ignorance. Ignorance versus a guy who knows his shit. That's gonna be a tough row to hoe. Yom Skinny

: : :
: : : You are a moron.
: : : The shirts are gray because gray is a neutral color which could have been youed with any teem. Simple as that.
: : : There is no PLOY by the marketing departments to try to get the people to buy these shirst because they are this "unique" gray color.
: : : It is simply a nice design, printed on a nice shirt, of a color which will complement ANY teams colors, names or logos.
: : : So basically Speaking, you should have just said, "Charlie,They just use a neutral color scheme and design on them when they design them up beforehand, that way, regardless who wins, the shirts will look nice with the names and logos of the winning team on them, regardless of who it may be."

: : : But no, you had to go on some marketing rant, telling me how inferior I am to you massive knowldge in this area.
: : : Then you had to imply that I know little about the game.
: : : Marketing....I'll give you, But I haven't missed a Steeler Game since I was 6 usually on TV(sometimes in 3rivers or Hienz) but also 1 trip to Orchrd Park and 4 trips to Cincy before they tore down Riverfront.) So yeah, I'm a fan.

: : : It's plain and simple and I really can't believe you are arguing about it.
: : : I'M DONE.
: : : p.s. you're wrong.
: : : I'M DONE

: :
: : Here ya go, moron:

: : This is how the NFL is marketing the hats for $30.00 a piece.

: : Pittsburgh Steelers
: : Reebok "Super Bowl XL Champs Hat"
: : Color: Gray/White
: : Fabric: Acrylic/Wool Blend

: : Be apart of your team and celebrate a well deserved Super Bowl XL win with this official Super Bowl XL Locker Room hat worn by the players! Features embroidered and applied team logo patch with a velcro adjustable closure.

: : They do not have these hats in black, gold, or white. The Super Bowl is over so they do not have to be neutral. The Steelers won the game by the way. Look at their pitch..."official Super Bowl XL Locker Room hat worn by the players!"

: : You cannot just make things up and expect people to believe you. You have lost credibility on many subjects on this board.

:
: THANKS!
: You just proved my point...you ignorant asshole!
: "Color: Gray/White"
: "They do not have these hats in black, gold, or white."
: Yes, they are "GRAY/White"!
: That's because, as I've been telling you all along, THEY WERE DESIGNED BEFOREHAND!
: It wouldn't matter WHO the winner was, these hats would be GRAY/white!
: If they were team specific why do they,"...not have these hats in black, gold..."
: Yes...their pitch ..."official Super Bowl XL Locker Room hat worn by the players!"
: They are telling you you can have the same hats the players have.
: They are not saying "Own this UNIQUE, GRAY hat!"

: You usually make pretty good arguments, but this time you are just making absolutely no sense.

: No shit Sherlock!
: I was never trying to confuse you as to WHO I am.
: Like I said, "Speaking knows who I am".

: I din't make ANYTHING up.
: YOU are the one who just made something up and expected to be believed.

: ......."It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt" -A. Lincoln

: Well, Charlie, now YOU know the truth.

:
: .... pathetic!!!
: No wait...UNIQUELY pathetic!!!!

Go ahead and try to weasel out of this one like you usually do. Like I said...your credibility is shot. First, they make them in all different colors, then when that did not work, you use another ploy and another ploy to dig yourself out of your god-forsaken hole of ignorance, but like I said, the facts speak for themsleves whichever way you try to twist them.

Your posts are meaningless. Twice on the current board you have proven to be a fool with nothing to back up your opinion other than a swerve.

Let Charlie and others be the judge of your non-sensical and clearly ignorant posts.
