: : : Why is all the Super Bowl Champ shirts, hats etc. gray? Are they going to change there colors?
: :
: : They do this for marketing purposes. Nobody associated with the Steelers including the Steelers fans have gray hats or shirts, so the NFL selects a color for the masses to buy just so they can have what the actual players were wearing. Back in 1995, when the Steelers played Dallas, the NFL chose a tan and dark brown color scheme.
: : Just a way for the NFL to make sure that the item is unique so that people will go out and buy their new items.
: sorry speaking.
: They are gray because they were designed long before the Super Bowl was won.
: On NFL. com you could pre-order the shirts depending on who you thought would win. If the Seahawks had one, the fans who ordered Seahawks shirts would have the SAME shirts, except there would be a Seahawks logo were the Steeler logo is and that would be the "Super Bowl Champion" shirt they would be selling everywhere.
: They had the SAME shirts WITH the SEAHAWKS logos printed up and waiting in case Seattle won. Then they would have been wearing the SAME hats and shirts.
: p.s. I'm a Steeler fan, and I own MANY gray t-shirts. I also know I've seen many a Steeler wearing a gray t-shirt in the past.
: A GRAY T-SHIRT...Yeah, that's UNIQUE!
Who do you think licensed those shirts?
The teams or the NFL????
The NFL. Go back through previous Super Bowls and look at the color schemes. You are right about having both teams printed up beforehand, but it all has to do with marketing. They could use white shirts for both teams year after year but they don't, do they oh wise sports-minded person?
