The reason that Carl pulled some punches (and I'm glad he did in this instance) was a combination of having a million messages being posted in succession of which any two year old could have written as well as some of the language and intent of some recent posts.
Believe me, I'm just against censorship as you are but y'all gotta think once in awhile before posting the first thing that pops into your head.
Personal attacks are not justifiable etiquette. You can attack what was said but leave the person (whether indirect or direct) out of it. No need for bashing people especially if you aren't doing it to their face.
I don't think Carl is out to censor the board. But he (and I and others) will be watching for the next instance where someone deliberately breaks 'the rules'.
If we don't police ourselves, then someone will have to do it for us.
