: Yep, it was Bush who signed off on it, but there were many Dems who crossed over to help make it pass through Congress. Several states are trying to find a means to pull out of this program and even take the costs back on themselves.
I have Security Blue suplamental for medicare. I have their standard program with out a drug coverage.I dident need the drug coverage.Security Blue fastened the Medicare drug program to my coverage and raised my premium up twenty five dollars. I called them and told them I dident need it.I have to pay it or they will cancel my cov erage for non payment. If I cancel with them the government will re emburse them for the loss, So eithet way.Some one is getting their palm scratched a hell of a lot.
: This foolishness that the drug companies would be able to properly enact this program was a bunch of cow dung, and people predicted it months ago.
: The pharmaceutical corporations are going to be collecting white-collar welfare from these programs. I have heard all this ranting about welfare people getting cash and foodstamps, but where is the uproar over things like this. the people should be in the streets screaming and yelling. I would gladly allow a guy to receive an extra $20.00 in foodstamps then to have some corporation soaking the taxpayers for millions.
: Add to this, many of these Medicare Part D plans are also affecting supplements to Medicare in the manner of of a HMO, and now these are even being terminated due to people getting lost in the system or software glitches.
: This just shows you that Congress and government in general no longer has the best interests of the citizenry in mind. They are out to appease the private corporations. One woman in Pittsburgh was refused dialysis treatments. Another woman had a blood treatment procedure terminated, and she is would told to leave the premise after she raised a fuss.
: Now, many are saying that this is just the beginning. Once they snag all these people into this fraudulent system, the drug companies are going to send the co-pays and premiums through the roof.
: Only in this distorted state of America would this occur.
