: : : the caracal place may provide some slightly skilled positions that may go a little beyond just plain manufacturing positions.

: : It may if it catches on, but on the other hand , you need a certain amount of skill to work there. I think they are looking for experienced people or people that the county sends to school. They will pay a decent wage, that is what we need some places that have decent pay and benefits so young people can settle in a start a life, but those people will need some education beyond high school in all likelihood.

: caracal hired some engineering people already.. and from what i hear.. and from what i understand of the business, they'll need production workers that know how to operate machines similar to those used for precision machining and also they'll need to be able to hire people to grow the actual silicon carbide.
: these jobs will be skilled enough to require a decent amount of training, but they probably wont require an education higher than high school.

It may not require more than a high school degree but you have to have some smarts or experience to run some of those machines. I am sure they will look at someone with some education in that field or experience over someone that has neither. Also you have to have some math skills to set the machines up, and in most cases, know how to read blueprints.I do not know if they would train on site or maybe have the county send some applicants to school. But it is something we desparately need in this county.
