: : : : : : "And let's be honest, the children aren't offended or embarrassed by the word christmas."
: : : : : : rm, that was my point.
: : : : : Well then--Well said, Kitty. The "guest" who followed obviously believes that the mere mention of the word Christmas can turn young minds to a quivering mass of gelatenous mush. Well here goes. MERRY CHRISTMAS There I said it -- and I hope your children read this post...and get very very offended. Where is the ACLU when you need them?
: : : : We have become a nation of quivering cowardly idiots. Print Merry Christmas on the menu and see what happens and don't worry what does.If people would quit worrying and fretting and say and write Merry Christmas the detractors would go away but they are winning now, they have the American people afraid of themselves.Win a war on terror- hell we can't even win a war on Christmas.
: : : If you would read a post the way it is written instead of jumping to conclusions. I didn't say my family didn't celebrate Christmas. I said not all kids celebrate christmas. If you are going to mention christmas then mention all the other holidays as well. To be fair to all. Happy Holiday does not bother me because as long as in my house we celebrate Christmas with Christ in it. It doesn't matter what others choose to do. If it offends me then I don't keep looking for instances of it. It is a time for celebration not stress because not all have the same belief.
: : : Merry Christmas to all who wish to accept it.
: : "Is it fair to them to have that on there menu."--That wasn't your comment??
: I said not all kids in my kids school celebrate christmas. And that it is not fair to those kids. Not that my kids didn't celebrate. We have all different nationalities in our school system. Happy Holidays covers everyone involved. They are free to do what ever they like at there home with there family.
: As for my kids reading this message board. Not on your life.....
Other nationalities in the class, huh? Well then we have to take a serious look at the celebration of Veterans Day and Independence Day. There may be some students of Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, German or Italian heritage who may be quite offended by having a day to honor our warriors. And I'm sure those of English Ancestory don't want that whole tea Party fiasco cast up in their red coat faces again.
