: I went to PSU (Behrend Campus) and graduated after 4 years with a degree in engineering. My children are ages 1 and 3 so they are not in school yet. My husband and I are yet undecided as to whether or not to homeschool or send them to public school. Is there an actual reason you're asking all this? Or are you just looking for fuel to burn me? Seems pretty commonplace on this board.
: (sorry if this posts a second time, having trouble with the board today)
I’m sorry. I said I wasn’t going to respond to your answer but I just wanted to tell you that I think staying home with the children in this day and age is a big sacrifice. You are doing what you believe to be the best thing, and that’s great!
Home schooling is even a bigger sacrifice. A family very close to me home schools and I know it is very hard. The mother that stays at home gave up a very profitable business to stay at home and home school her children, plus a couple other children from other people that didn’t want to send their kids to public school.
I have young children myself and though about the same things you have, but choose a different path. I didn’t pick the daycare path but I do have a babysitter. My wife and I work shift work and are only away from the children for a very short time. That’s a luxury we have. I didn’t choose public school, but private.
Good luck Kimmie!
