: Ok, maybe I am generalizing too much by just saying a “broken home”. Let’s say, a one parent home or a family with only one stable parent. I never said that the kid couldn’t have come from a normal two parent (male & female) home. I am saying I will bet money that the kid who did this came from a messed up family or is raised by parents that just don’t give a damn.

Maybe that is a problem of our society, not many two parent families or stay at home Mom's. People have to work to survive and many times the kids are on their own.
