: : : OK, now here we go. I'm sure a bunch of you are going to get all fired up now. That's OK. You're entitled. But, we don't and never will, teach our children there is a santa claus. And, for us, yes, the CHRIST in CHRISTmas has been going for a long time. More and more companies, etc. are afraid of lawsuits from some group or another claiming their rights are being infringed upon because of the word CHRISTmas. It's very, very sad that the reason for CHRISTmas is indeed CHRIST and He is being removed more and more from it.
: : Wait just a cotton picking minute here. Are you saying that there is no Santa??? Sorry, just trying to lighten the moment :)
: It is sad that they have taken Christ out of Christmas, but I don't think it hurts anything to have kids believe in Santa. To me that is part of Christmas and I feel as long as I teach my kids the true meaning of Christmas then there is no harm in them believing in Santa.
If the stores don't want to mention Xmas that is their right. If you don't like it, don't buy from that store. Now that's simple.
