: : : : How about a new subject to talk about....How about them Steelers. Even w Ben out of the line-up and Charlie Batch in, we still got a win. Glad they kept old Maddox on the sidelines.....How about those Nittany Lions also, one game away from possibly getting a shot at the Big Ten Championship. What a turn around from there dismal season last year.
: : : Steelers are hanging in there, hope Ben gets back soon, I am watching NE and the Colts, both teams I am afraid are better than the Steelers. I look for the Steelers to go 11-5 and lose before the AFC championship. As far as Penn State, a powerful team, the best I can ever remember, if it wasn't for the loss at Michigan, they could have been playing for the National championship.Robinson is a so-so passer but as a runner, he can't be stopped.
: : Best you can ever remember? the 95' team went undefeated and should have been co-champs with Nebraska.. and the 99' team was better also. In 95' they had Kerry Collins, Bobby Engram, Kijana Carter, and even Joe Jurevicious.
:
: Those guys would not be starting on this team- look at their receivers Engram might play some , Big Joe - maybe a back up tight end ala Kranchick,Carter would be behind Scott, Collins- give me Robinson any day.Kerry Coolins turned into a dud, Carter worse, Engram a serviceable wide receiver, Joe never distinguished himself
either.
: Wow, I put this post on in hopes of getting away fr the dog shooting story...Maybe to talk about something positive...Now you guys are fighting over those Penn State guys, who I agree, haven't faired to well in the NFL. Hopefully Robinson will do better...but tt doesn't matter if you do well in the NFL or not because to a certain degree it doesn't matter if you play or not, you can get HUGE bucks for riding the bench, on the injured reserve list...Atleast college players play from the heart when they are at college, although they are probably thinking towards the big payout if they make it to the big house. The NFL is highly overpaid, highly drugged and when you have jerk offs like Terrel Owens w his big mouth, is lacking in role models for our little kids to look up too. Baseball is REALLY overpaid, as well as drugged w steroid abuse, and hockey doesn't seem to be too bad. Not all of the players in these sports deserve the label of being overpaid and using drugs but these are the ones you hear of the most..........Well so much for the Steeler-Penn State post being a positive story because now I had to go and reply to the negativity of the last couple posts with my own negativity.....Oh well I guess, it was my post originally, so I'm allowed....See ya!
