Yeah it probably wouldn't have anything to do with the massive amounts of fuel that America buys. Before you go and tear into the oil companies why don't you take a look at where their profits are coming from. A very large percentage comes from foreign investments they have made. Yes they make money on selling gasoline to Americans, about 5 cents a gallon, but when we use as much gas as we do then that 5 cents a gallon adds up quickly.
