: : : : : : : : I SEE MR BUSH IS SOCKING IT TO THE SENIORS TAKEING FROM THE POOR TO REBUILD N.O WHEN ARE WE GOING TO GET A PRESIDENT THAT CARES ABOUT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE I READ ONE ARTICAL WHERE THEY ARE SPENDING MILLIONS TO CHECK AND SEE IF THE GAS FROM COW SHIT WAS POLLUTING THE AIR WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO MAKE SOME POOR FARMER GET ANTI POLLUTION MACHINE'S FOR EACH COW JUST A FEW MILLION THEY SAY MAYBE ENOUGH TO HELP SOME ONE GET MEDICINE THEY CANT OFFORD OR SPEND THAT MONEY TO HELP FEED OUR OWN PEOPLE FIRST THEN WORRY ABOUT SENDING BILLIONS TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES THEY ALWAYS SAY GOD BLESS AMERICA HOW ABOUT GOD HELP AMERICA
: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : You will be getting the great Prescription Drug Plan soon, it is fairly confusing, I think most seniors will avoid it. And don't worry about the flu, they have Avian flu on the way with litle or no vaccines against it.You miss the point , if this administration can avoid helping the poor and the older citizens, then that is two groups they won't have to deal with. They can concentrate more on making themselves money ( Bill Frist) or throwing enough lies out there to scare people ) Rove, Bush).Believe me, they aren't in politics to help those that need it, they are there to help themselves.
: : : : : :
: : : : : : The Meidcare Part D program is a fraud. The cost has already been estimated to doubled from what was originally proposed and that is being quoted from "conservatives" who are worried about the economy. The drug companies are going to make billions off of this plan. (Like what was said in the previous post...this was not created to aid the elderly or disabled, this was put into place to make more money for the drug companies). There are no caps placed on the drug companies so watch and see how much the prices go up now.
: : : : : : This country is in a mess and we even have the heavy-hitting conservatives beginning to speak out. This administration is shelling out more money than any other in the history of the United States, but they still call themselves "fiscal conservatives." And the Bush supporters will continue to blame it on 09/11, Katrina, clinton and other things, but there many people who were sleeping at the wheel are beginning to wake up and see the big picture. The establishment of Homeland Security has exposed itself for what it is....a bloated government department that is layered with cronyism. It took Homeland Security 36 hours after Hurricane Katrina hit the gulf coast to recognize the magnitude and impact of the storm, and this was not even due to faulty intelligence...you could have put on the Weather Channel for the love of Pete!!!! All 4 budgets under Dubbya have been packed with loads of pork for the neocons who have dutifully supported this administration no matter how wrong they were.
: : : : : : As for Iraq, the teflon is wearing off. There were no WMDs. The plans were already into place six months after Dubbya got into office. They were going in whether 09/11 occurred or not. They were lucky to have pop gums over there let alone WMDs. Now, we have got oursleves into a position of being caught into a triangle of a civil war. The insurgents are not terrorists; they are people in Iraq who want the Americans out of their country.
: : : : : : Hey, things are looking very bad, but at times, I sit back and look relief by thinking that maybe, just maybe, the American population is going to see what a fraud this administration was from the very beginning. The hope is still out there that we can learn from being seduced by a snake charmer who built his candidacy and terms in office on religious buzz words.
: : : : : : We do not have to attack Dubbya cronies anymore; they are doing a real good job of showing their negative intentions all by themselves.
: : : : : : The Dems are no better. They should be stomping on the floor of Congress everyday asking for an investigation for the reasons leading up to the invasion of Iraq. The Dems have also failed the American people.
: : : : : : Was it Dick Gephardt who labeled them a "miserbale failure?" When we look back into history with unbiased eyes, we just may think that Gephardt had ESP.
: : : : :
: : : : : The politicians have a good fix on the regular Joe, most will bitch about everything but when it comes time to vote, they still vote the crooks in.People are apathetic and politicians know that. They can do anything they want and get away with it, the Bush administration are huge crooks -Frist, Rove, Delay, Bush but they get away with it, oh they say they are Christians and everyone believes them of course. And it is not just Republicans, it is any politician. It seems once in, they owe to too many people and only keep getting deeper and deeper into corruption.
: : : : The economy is a wreck. High inflation rates are ready to be set upon us. The fuel prices are going through the roof. We are spending deficit-proportioned amounts to rebuild Iraq. We have cut get back on taxes to the wealthy,...........
: : : :
: : : : BUT, everything is fine!!!!!!!!
: : : : This administration is a train wreck. It is a train wreck for the blue-collar worker, the white-collar worker, a majority of the stock market, but for some reason, but everything is okay with Dubbya in charge.
: : : : We are heading for a very rapid and deliberate fall.
: : : :
: : : : There are people who just do not want to hear it. What a shame this country has become.
: : : Actually the stock market and economy are doing just fine. Super war hero, John Kerry said there were WMDs. Kerry declared that “even knowing what we now know,” he would still have cast his vote in the Senate to authorize the Bush administration to invade Iraq. “I would have voted for the authority,” said Kerry. “I believe it was the right authority for the president to have.” The problems in Louisiana are the fault of inept/corrupt politicians in that state. The gas prices are not the presidents fault, and if I recall correctly, its the libs like AL Gore who wanted it to be $5/gallon or more.
: : : Mr. Bush's major faults are the out of control spending, the border issue and not having the kahoonas to actually nominate a tried and true conservative to the Supreme Court. He, like many other republicans in the congress, have proven to be incredible pansy asses when it comes to standing for what they say they believe in...just my opinion.
: :
: : I can even agree with the John Kerry statements, because I do not think one party is better than the other, but for you to equate that with the Commander-In chief, who takes our sons and daughters to war, for that you are sadly mistaken. John Kerry, Bill clinton, Edward Kennedy, and the list goes on ALL voted for it, but who was the Commander-In-Chief during this watch? It was not Kerry, Clinton, or Kennedy. Those three yo-yos could not fight their way out of a wet paper bag, but at the same time, we have a sitting President that has told untruths to the American people. Which is worse? You decide. We can take this debate way off the spectrum and add Kerry, Clinton and crew, but I am not looking for that. What I am talking about is high crimes and misdemeanors. We heard so much of this over a sexual affair about 6 years ago. What happened to it when it was not over something sexual? Let's get it straight, also, I am not a Slick Willie fan, but you have to admit, this is alot bigger than some sexual misconduct in the Oval Office.
: : I would rather here you defend Bsuh for
: : Where has the Common Sense of America gone? Blue-collar comedy? NASCAR? God bless us all.
: Are you saying that Bush lied, but the others were "just mistaken", or did they all conspire? Some like to dismiss the obvious with Mr. Clinton, it was lying under oath, not the sex. But don't let the facts interfere with a good story. As fot the High crimes and misdemeanors. Let's go over them point by point, not in vague generalities.
Hey, you are barking up the wrong tree, if you think I am making this partisan. Clinton as a so-called Dem has hurt the working man in this country. I was using him as an example of how they forge justice in this country.
I think if you would have 50 - 100 citizens, GOP or Dems, they would question the reason the we went into Iraq. The politics in this country is bridled with special interests. The difference this time is that we are using are young men and women as pawns in this corporate war.
It is plain to see from the news that we have not curbed terrorism, i.e. Bush admitting to 12 threats, New York subwya system, etc. The premise of invading a country to end terrorism is outright ludicrous. But, we do one better, instead of invading the country that harbors and supports terrorists, Saudi Arabia, we invade Iraq.
Has there been anything to support the President's reckless abandon to take our young men and women to war? If you have it, please guide me to the link. I have been studying this for two years, and I cannot find any "valid" threat posed by Iraq other than Saddam bucking the world market in oil.
You are correct. I want Dubbya under oath, by himself without Big Dick, to answer the hard questions. If he can prove to me and the world that he acted on this country's best interests, no problem, but I have not even heard of any spin that supports his theory of WMDs threatening the United States. We have changed the reason for going to war several different times since 2003.
