Is this sewage thing a lot of BS. They way i understand it, here's the break down...
$1000.00 - Tap in fee
$ 40.00 - inspection fee
$ 40.00 - $50.00 - a month sewage bill (compared to downtown's bill of around $18.00)
Then you have to have it paid by Aug 20th, in one lump sum or be penalized.
And then, you can't even lay your line at least for 3 weeks.
Oh, and plus the costs to dig it up. this is a bunch of BS.
They said they don't have the funds to employee a person to sit in an office and take payments. There is however people who meet a certain low income (i think 26,000) will get a break.
Don't get me wrong, i don't feel that low income people should not get a break, but why is it fair that a working man has to pay full costs. Couldn't they do a survey, see who is low income and who is not, then average the total and be less for almost everyone.
Even worse, when they get to sunny side, their monthly bill will be more.
