If you were born in Kittaning, I would contact the County Courthouse to ask about finding and getting a copy of your birth certificate:

Armstrong County Hospital did not close - it moved to the West Hills area (west of Kittanning) over 30 years ago.

: i was born here in the hospital, in 1964 and they say the hosipat is gone. i've never seen or heard of this place except on my birth papers. i want to get my origanal birth certificate, but i don't know how. The one i have does not have all the info on it. when i got married the lady in detroit marriage office asked, "who are your parents?" i never thought to look. she also asked "are you male-female-or, subject?" how can i get a copy without coming to kittanning? what is it like anyway today 05/20/2005?
