"People like to think of employers as social welfare organizations, but they're not," said Sylvester Scheiber, a partner with the financial consulting firm of Watson-Wyatt and a member of President Bush's 2001 Social Security Commission. "In an increasingly competitive world, they don't have room to do much else but focus on the competition."

This statment says it all in my own mind.

How can you argue with it?

For all your blood, sweat, and tears at either towing the line, finishing the product, or processing the data, your employer owes you nothing. Nothing. You are just a worker that gave 20-30 years of your life to make the best product available for the company or corporation. After you retire, when it is time for you to set your mind at ease, play with the grandchildren, take that once-dreamed-of vacation, the current adminstration under George Walker Bush has a problem with those things.

Yeah, we will get those who live and bleed with the GOP in the captain's chair, but is it right? They accuse us of "picking on George W." and blaming him for everything. My posts stand on their own. I truly do not believe that President Bill Clintom was for the working man. (That should squelch all those narrow-minded people who still believe that a GOP or Dem in office makes a difference). I thought Bill Clinton was prepared, bought and sold by Corporate America many years ago, so you can save the remarks about the Commies, Socialists, etc. I am what call a liberal, but I do not put Bill Clinton in the same category. The media put him in that category.

I am pro-life to an extent. I do not buy into the Religious nuts that put anybody dying into that category.

I believe in the restrictions of taxes.

I believe that an adiminstration that agrees to trade deals that put Americans out of work is unpatriotic. (Reagan designed NAFTA. George I endorsed it in Congress, bill clinton signed it into law, and George W. wants us to join CAFTA, which is the same as NAFTA, only it brings in the Central American countries...A simple Google or Yahoo news search will verify that.)

We now have an adminstration that believes that pensions are a privilege not a necessity and if you disagree with them, then they will take their ball and play the game overseas in China or India or some other nation paying less than adequate wages.

This country needs all the blessings it can get. So, all those Religious nuts, start praying. Just because YOU have a good-paying job does not mean that the same is occurring around you. To keep the services you have now, you will need a wide tax base. In Pennsylvania and across the country this is declining.

Do your own reading and correct me if I am wrong.
