: As we all know the DJ position is open after the pasing of Jay Young. I have my thoughts about the 4 candidates that are trying to get in. I am leaning toward Paula LaStrapes. I have worked with her ona number of issues and find her very knowledgable and easy to work with. She does a lot of work with CYS, as well. I have also worked with Jamie Owens. He's good, very smart and is a tough negotiator. Also is the solicitor for the borough. Jack Heim is good but he stated when he retired 2 years ago that wanted to relax, maybe write a book. But the mandatory retirement age is 70 and Jack is 66. He was the attorney for the AC Public Housing Dept. Scahill to me is least qualified of the four. He didn't pass the certification exam and this makes him look takes away from his candidacy, in my opinion. The DJ is an important position and we need someone top notch.
: What do you all think//////////////// I think your right on most points, although Jack gets my vote.So he is 66,He can give the people 4 good years of service.I think he has been around the block a few times more than the other candidates and could read people better. And he is a very caring individual.
