My husband and I were "legitimate" extras for the 9th, having been called by Mothman productions, and we did get into the Parish Hall before they turned people away. We did not, however, get to be in the movie. Instead we were warehoused inside the old Cicero's building from 6:00 pm until 11:30 pm, with promises being made every hour or two that we would get to be on the set soon. The staff person said he would try to get us some coffee and\or doughnuts but that never happened, leaving many people stuck there with no food or drink until 11:30 pm. Alot of people went to the Honey Bear, but some could not walk that far in the cold or even get back to their cars to go home because the buses were not there. We did get a ride back to the hall for 'lunch' at 11:30, with the promise that we would be used right after lunch. So off we went to wait in the street from 1 am until around 2:30 am, doing absolutely nothing. But we were assured that we would be walking 'right next to Mr. Gere' in the scene. When things finally got rolling, Mr. Gere was hundreds of feet away and the camera was pointed away from us. The crew called it a 'wrap' around 3:15 am. We turned away dissapointed and cold. At that point, most of us wished we would have stayed home. I think that someone should have been honest with us and told us the chances were slim for our group. While we were not getting paid for our time, it was still wasted.
