: : : : : : : I see President Bush is rushing back to sign a bill to save terry scdhiavo's life I wonder why he would do that when he is killing our boys in Iraq I belive with out any remorse. mr bush think about our boys and girls in harms way as much as you do this young lady

: : : : : : apples and oranges my friend....I doubt "mr. bush" is reading these posts.

: : : : : Not apples and oranges, depending on your opinion of the poster boy for the Religious Right. If you are from that sector then sure it apples and oranges, but if you do not believe that way, you will probably see the inconsistencies and hypocrisy of Gee-Dubbya. It is stretching it some, but not something absolute. The guy leads with double-talk.

: : : : :
: : : : : Another one to use is the involvement of government. The siren call for these people has been less government, but what are they doing in the Schiavo case???? Less government??? Hypocrites, again.

: : : : Totally agree with you. Why is the federal gov't involved in this family's life? They always preach about gov't intrusion, don't the on on the

: : :
: : : I agree that the federal government shouldn't be involved but I don't think this has anything to do with Iraq.
: : : I'm not sure how I feel. On one hand the woman has been suffering for 15 years in a virtual vegitative state which I certain would not want to go through and would hope someone would show the mercy to end my life. However, by simply removing her feeding tube they are litaerally starving her to death which I consider torture in itself. In my opinion, it should be up to her husband to end her life if it can be done mercifully, but starving her to death can hardly be considered mercifull.

:
: : It is a tough call, because one doesn't know all the facts. I heard her supposedly answering her father on a re-corded conversation from Friday, he told her to say Hi and it seemed that she did or tried.Someone said third parties have offered the husband a million to 10 million dollars to sign off on his control and to divorce her and he won't. He has another wife and two kids, so I think he is in it for the money ( her insurance policy and any movie or book deals that may come along). It sure has captured the attention of the American public, at least it gets minds off gas prices and Iraq and makes one appreciate what they have.

: As a nurse i can see her husbands point of view here. Do you have any clue how many people are in our nursing homes in that same state. The only thing Schiavo has that they dont, people who actually care about her or do they. Alot stop in just to show there face and get into our face.. if they are so concerned why arent they taking care of her.. why is she in a nursing home?? think about it??

I think it is because the husband has the legal say so, he has her in the nursing home. You are right , a lot of people don't care about their relatives in the homes, just what they might inherit from these poor souls but then again if it it wasn't this way, you would have no job.
