A friend of mine in South Carolina teaches 6th grade and is a REAL internet enthusiast. Her students track hurricanes while they come across the Atlantic Ocean and grow in the Caribean.
We were on our way to a Tel-Ed conference in 1998 when one of her students sent a message warning her about Hurricane Hugo (I think that was the name, Oct '98)
