: : : : : All this belly aching about the price of gas I really getting to me. Do people realize all the more gas has went up over the past 20 years? I go to Sheetze and happily pay my $2 GAL..no problem. But there are those who complain. People who seem to be more than happy to pay for pack after pack after pack of cigarettes for anywhere from $2.80 to $5.00 a pack. Others buying WATER, plain ass drinking WATER!, for $1.85 /16 oz bottle. That $2 gal of gas is gonna get me WAY further toward my destination than those other purchases might. So I really don't se the cost issue be a problem for me. : : : : : However, as for the problem of the other countries havin' our asses over a barrel (SO TO SPEAK). That solution is simple . Start drillin' the shit out of Alaska. That's what its was bought for , so lets us it that way. Oh I agree it's beautiful up there but this is a matter of national security. And a 16 oz bottle of water is nearly that much and people don't have a problem with that. Let's see, they have to find the oil, drill for it, transport it, refine it, put additives in it, then transport it again to get it to the pump and it is still only $2 a gal. It fuels all of our transportation. Yet people complain. Often times they are complaining while at the same time buying a bottle of Aquifina for $2 when they could just as easily fill up a bottle from the tap at home. : : : Do you really think $2 is too much? : : : How far does your car go on a gal of gas? : : : I'll bet you wouldn't walk that far for $2. : : : Try thinking a little bit before your next reply. : : : I agree, based on inflation indexed prices, $2.00 is still a bargain. : : Yes people don't know the value of a dollar, we are all stupid, the price of everything is going up because we accept every stupid reason they throw at us. Gasoline should not be $2 a gallon.We should not be in Iraq and I would like to see you fill up your water bottle with Kittanning or Ford City water, I would rather drink it straight out of the river.
