It's the curse of the English teacher. Everyone thinks we NEVER make grammatical errors.
Would it help to say I was trying to get my very opinionated self on the message board before third period started and was in a hurry?
No, just another sad excuse that I didn't proof my own words...okay...how about...hey, did I tell you the dog came up and tried to eat my modem and I was soooo distracted I...or the pictures of a very handsome Tom Cruise my students helped me hang on the wall caught my eye just as I typed the word...
HEE HEE. Viva la VEIW!!!!!!!!!!!
> Students: Note how this was written. The first paragraph went right to the point - this is what the message is about.
> Note the emphasis: "The message was NOT funny."
> More: "Teachers SHOULD be responsible for what product they turn out..."
> My personal take: I didn't graduate from KHS; I moved into Kittanning in 1997 and see a tremendous potential here. Students seem to be in two camps... those who are motivated to excel and those who are less so.
> Every student CAN do better, starting with paying attention for a FEW more seconds each class, then focusing a few MORE seconds the next day, and the next...
> Change is easy and hard at the same time. If you look at HUGE changes, they terrify and knock people down before they get well started; if you look at being just a little bit better EVERY DAY (or 2-3 times a week while you're getting started), there IS potential in all of us.
> A last note: Typographical errors are hard to undo on a message board unless you're the webmaster... Annette, ummmmm... "veiw"? You did a great job of getting your message through, A+ anyway.
