: : : : So, I would like somebody to explain to me how this good for our country? Maybe these cuts are some of the those things that if you think budget cuts for police and fire protection then you are unpatriotic or an evil-doer.

: : : : Where are all the poems and praises that magnify what these cuts mean? Boy, there were alot of people backing this administation in patriotic fervor just a short time ago. How about those cuts for prescription and medical coverage for the elderly and the disabled. Where are all the poems stating how great this is for us as a country? Benefits are being cut for people in the nursing homes. Let's get those American flags and wave them some more. We are cutting more and more for our own people while we nation-build across the world.

: : : : Look at these depressed areas that we live in and around us. People have been tossed out on their behind from good-paying jobs and left with no healthcare for their families.

: : : : Remember, you got four more years of this stuff. I hope God does bless this country because are going to need it.//////I wonder how many people that voted for Bush,After reading this artical,And will be truthfull,Would now like to take their vote back,It sure look's as though we are in deep do-do.

: :
: : Thank you Mr. President for stepping forward to make the hard choices that have to be made. Thank you for taking steps to shore up social security and give us all alternatives before it goes belly up. Thank you for standing firm against terror and not allowing the U.N to dictate how this Country will defend itself. Thank you, Mr. President. Great Job!

: Sb3, i can understand your joy, but what about these cuts, do you support them? Let it on the public record so we know where you are coming from? You think it is good that we cut support for local law enforcement and fire protection?? This can be answered with a "yes" or "no."

: Forget all your propoganda about the affairs of the world, because it is merely proponganda until we see the outcome within what time periods. But. I would like to seei fyou support these cuts across the board??

: Cone on sb3, yes or no?

Actually, it isn't that simple. I have been looking for information that provides a totally nonpartisan look at the proposed budget - very hard to find. I may lean right, but I am willing to critique when appropriate. But I am not willing to say that every cut is bad. In this government, we don't get rid of bad programs. We throw more money at them and then begin another bad program.

We are in a war and while I would rather not re-hash the yeas and nays of that, you would have to admit that it ain't cheap to fight a war. Let's do what we gotta do and get the h--- out as quickly as possible.

We also know that the president is fully aware that he won't get passed anywhere near the cuts he has proposed. Perhaps its just the way of making people sit up and take notice.

I won't support cuts to our servicemen and women, nor any illigitimate cuts to firefighters, police or the weakest among us, but I will support responsible stewardship in office. Just my opinion.
