Hi Dave:

Of course Mothman Prophecies is definitely a "monster" movie. It's just that this "monster," this time, will be psychological at the whim of those producing the motion picture... I believe the good folks of Point Pleasant that stumbled upon Mothman and many of the nightmares occurring in 1967 Wild Wonderful West Virginia must have felt they had encountered genuine monsters at best... denizens of the underworld at worst. Even though the "action figure" is not an absolutely accurate "model" that fits every general witness description given the terror factor, many of the "Mothman" drawings, etc stray from the truth in the holy name of artistic license. As to being misinformed, John Keel (the author of Mothman Prophecies) and myself both contribute to FATE magazine, where John Keel presently serves as a Contributing Editor. My interest in the movie is simply as a tribute to John A. Keel and nothing more. We both have been actively investigating the unknown long before most of you were born... and way before the X-Files. Which, by the way, I enjoy. Without Keel, there would be no movie in Kittanning today! Thank you for your kind comments. You can catch me on the History Channel, March 12th, 8pm as History's Mysteries tackles the enigma of the Philadelphia Experiment. In addition to my on-camera interview and research assistance, I served as Field Producer. Yours in research, Robert A. Goerman
