The best line in that reply (as I see it) was that we need to spend money on THE KIDS.
Instead of using all these high-powered crystal balls to predict the future .. MAYBE we could start guaging our districts expenditures and projects on how they help the students.
I would rather see the district spend $$$ on ways the encourage parental participation or parent-teacher communication that can quickly and directly improve a students chances.
Using funds to FIX the holes in our system would (I feel) make more sense than to spend funds creating MORE.
