It sounds like you're stressed about this and that might be exactly the right thing to do. BUT, on the other hand the test will show how students are doing on the school level also.
If your spelling and use of grammar are what you learn at KHS, they need to replace the teachers. If the administration knows the teachers are not teaching the difference between "are" and "our", then the hiring process needs to be addressed.
Your entire fate is NOT determined by a gold seal or a silver seal or even whether you go to college. The key is that you MUST be able to do the job that an employer expects, OR you must be able to do ten times that amount of work if you go into business for yourself. If you want a loan or want government money, you have to justify it in writing and a business plan is just the start. Tell that to the freshmen and sophomores so they get ready on time.
