: I'm surprised they aren't talking about cancelling hunting all together after this incident. This made me sick to my stomach when I heard it a few weeks ago on our local news.
REPLY: We all agree this was a mess .. but to cancel/ban HUNTING because of it makes VERY LITTLE sense to me .. ALMOST as much sense as sueing McDonald's for making people eat too much .. but not quite .. lol
A am ALL FOR not letting the killer EVER own a gun of ANY kind EVER again in his life .. in fact .. I would make sure he gets the firing squad during his sentancing .. but we all know I'm an ass that way too .. hehe
Just because a few rotten apples exist out there (and there are MORE than a FEW) .. we cannot limit the everyday ordinary average guy's right to do certain activities (hunt, own guns, skydive, whatever)
JUST BECAUSE evolution has left several individuals a few bricks shy of the load of genes it takes to be functional .. I don't think we should try to idiot-proof the entire planet .. today's liability crazy world has everyone looking for a scapegoat .. easier to amputate a broken "whatever" than to set and heal the broken bone at the core of the problem.
