I was just on here replying to a message that I had posted earlier and thought I'd write a new message. Isn't it exciting to know that Hollywood is coming to Kittanning!?? I'm a respiratory therapist in a small hospital in Jackson, OH that just opened and I was talking to a very nice and informative lady from Hewlett Packard who was also from Pittsburgh (she was there training everyone on how to use the new Hewlett Packard patient monitors) I told her of the movie being filmed in her state and I proceded to tell her of the small town of Kittanning which I pronounced it like you would call a small cat with the "ing" on the end! Well, needless to say we had a good laugh as she set me straight on how to say Kittanning! She gave me directions to get to Nancy Mosser's office as well as to Kittanning. I most definitely want to visit Kittanning even if I'm not chosen as an extra for the film(which is very likely)
Everyone that talks on this board seems so nice and that you town is so "Mayberry" like that I just have to see it and hopefully Carl reads this and maybe perhaps even he and I can have lunch together in his town and discuss this "Mothman" which has brought us all together...
I do, in all honesty, feel that these river towns are almost all like sisters. I'm from Ironton, OH (a river town) look it up on your map. The most southern point in Ohio along the river(other than South Point of course) and I've been to a bunch of river towns including Huntington, WV, Charleston, WV, Cincinnatti, OH, POINT PLEASANT, WV, Ashland, KY (my birth town) and others....they all have a river in common....maybe not the Ohio River like I'm used to but a river not matter what the name. I think you'll all agree that there's a certain unity in the river towns that makes you feel at home when you see one flowing through a town you don't even recognize. Well, enough of my rambling...I'll see you in the movies and Carl I hope we can have lunch together sometime in Kittanning but you know I'd have to leave at about 6 in the morning to make it by lunch!
