Come and live in Reading, Pa for about a year......and you will run back to Kittanning...with your dayum tail between your legs...whimpering all the way....and be so dayum glad that you are back!!!!!!! Just my 2 cents on the horribley negative posts that I keep reading about Kittanning.

First of all, I have been elsewhere besides Kittanning for one and for two I do not truly see the entire downside of this community however I do know some people are hellbent on not changing the way things are. It is a sad case whereas people live as they do in the slum lord places. Literally housing you wouldn't let a dog live in, people call home. Why? THERE'S NO WORK WORTH A DERN AROUND! Sure the crime rate etc. is less and why so many live here and work elsewhere. The cost of living here versus per say Oakmont near my job is cheaper here. If I were in Oakmont, I would be paying 130,000 for a house here costing 90,000.
: Well....."UNKNOWN"....that same house that you would be paying 130,000 for....would go for 250,000 here.....and look at what that town (Reading, Pa.) is like. Most of the responsible upstanding folks of our city...have moved out of it...and into the suburbs....just to get away from all the crime...and immigrants that have taken over what USED to be "our fair city". That is WHY real estate is so high!!! Homes in our city...you can get for a song....but heck....no upstanding person wants to live there anymore....too dayum dangerous!!!!! I say again....be glad Kittanning is such a lovely simple pleasures....kind of town....spend a week in Reading....and you will see that Kittanning is a great little town. Now....if ya's could just figure out how to bring businesses...and whatnot to the town...tho...that part kind of scares me...cuz I would wonder what kind of "toxic people" that would bring to your town....and totally take away the beauty of it. Kind of like caught between a rock and a hard place. But I still wish Kittanning....the best of everything...and hope things get better there economically....cuz if it does....you best believe I would be one of the first to move back there....cuz to me...Kittanning will ALWAYS be home.....to me.
And I would be the second one Sis.
