Hose Company #1
South Jefferson Street

Can you imagine a structure this size only cost $3900 to build? Originally a Presbyterian Church it was erected in 1856 and the features are of the Greek Revival style.

The firemen bought the building in 1900 and it has the distinction of being one of the most widely used public gathering places for 50 years. The original tin ceilings are still in place.

Need a "Walking Tour" brochure? We'll make a quick stop at the Tourism Bureau on upper Market Street, where they have more information on Kittanning, nearby industry, plus brochures on activities inside and outside our Borough limits.

Thinking of relocating but you don't know where? With Highway 28 linking Kittanning to the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area and more jobs being developed in Armstrong County, you might want to check out our affordable housing. See the Real Estate listings.

With the cooperation of local Realtors, sometimes we can even show you the inside from the comfort of your office chair. That's right, on the Web!
