The Walker House
131 Vine St.
Starting with this house, the next few buildings are houses and one church which are separated from the Allegheny River only by the width of Water St. and the long and narrow Riverfront Park.
C.H. Ferne had this English cottage built in the 1920's. It is the only one of its kind in the Borough of Kittanning with its combination of hip roof and wood shingles, giving it a thatched appearance.

Also distinctive in appearance are the iron fence, the eyebrow dormer on the west side, and multipaned sidelights by the doors. The fence surrounded the original house on the site, built in 1893.
