| Built in 1909 in the Late Gothic Revival Style to house the Methodist Episcopal congregation (est. 1816), the building prominently displays its square battlement tower (inset), plus it is adorned with stained glass imported from Italy and has an unusual polygonal roof. This church is the home church of Jim "the Can Man" Ternent, who was recognized recently for his 25+ years of perfect Sunday School attendance. Jim is known as the "Can Man" for his work with the Vacation Bible School which in 2007 recycled 37,137 aluminum cans and donated the proceeds to Armstrong Habitat for Humanity. In the bottom right corner of the picture, you can see just a little of Jim's truck.
