The Old Library sits at the
corner of Arch and Jefferson St.

This building was erected by John Colwell in 1860. The Borough of Kittanning used it as a library from 1933 to 1988 before moving the books to a new location slightly farther north on Jefferson St.

The Italianate style of the building, featuring decorative doors and surrounds, was popular during peak railroading years.
