Still Calling for Volunteers! Many of you have joined us in our ongoing efforts, THANK YOU! The Armstrong Chapter of Habitat for Humanity is engaged in providing housing for those in need, by providing volunteer labor and donated materials in the form of FINISHED HOUSES that serve the needs of new friends and the always-growing extended Habitat family. Annual Events: January: Annual retreat - a time to relax and mingle (and put down the hammers!), reflecting on our accomplishments and set goals for the future.
Monthly Meetings: Held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 218 N. Jefferson St. in Kittanning. Normally the last Monday of the month, meetings start with devotions at 7:30 pm. Volunteer Opportunities: Habitat for Humanity is much more than hammers and nails. We need volunteers to serve lunch to our workday volunteers, help with bake sales and fundraising events, even keep our web pages up to date. If you have skills in any field and are willing to volunteer a few hours per month, OR if you have the willingness to pitch in and learn while you're "doing", please call 724-548-5716. Let us add YOU to our list of potential volunteers. Tell us about your interests, when your best times to help might be, and about any families that may need our help. Call 724-545-4905 for general information and to leave messages.
